Happy Birthday

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

WOW the last day of 2017! This year has flown by!

A nice chilled day planned today, hubby and I will be bringing the New Year in with out 2 fur babies Fluffy and Georgie.

I would like to thank you all for your continued support these past 12 months.

To finish off the year I have a vintage birthday card to share.


Step by Step

1. 8 x 8 white square base card.
2. First layer is patterned paper from LOTV Antebellum paper pack distressed with vintage photo.
3. Added a strip of dark green card with patterned paper.
4. Added cream lace along the bottom then matted and layered topper onto dark green card and adhered to card.
5. To finish off added the sentiment and metal corner.

Stamps by Me Lamination Stamps

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

How are you all?

What are your plans for today?

Toni from Stamps by Me will be on Create and Craft at 10.00 am today with a selection of the wonderful Lamination Stamps.

Here are a couple of my samples to share with you.


For this card I have used the Amazing Daisy set but just the lamination part of the stamp.


This one if from the Beautiful stamp set and Generation INX in Blue


For this one instead of using the lamination part of the stamp I watercoloured using the Artist Watercolour wheel.  This stamps set is called Hooray

December VLOG

Lamination Stamps

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Tomorrow Toni will be on  Create and Craft at 10.00 am

The quality of the stamps from Stamps by Me are just amazing and work so well with using my Eureka 101.

Here are some more of my samples.


I have used the beautiful Lamination For You stamp set. and Generation INX


I have watercoloured the background with yellow Generation INX then stamped the lamination part with red and orange.  The stamp set is called Birthday Wishes


To create this card I used the Synergy Cross Stitch Dies and cut out both layers, one layer being watercoloured card which I stamped the Calla Lily colour washed the inside of the lily with Aqua Generation INX and around the edges.

May this Birthday...

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Well all back to normal in our house today as hubby is off to work shortly.

I am not sure what I plan on doing yet, maybe do a bit of crafting.

A quick birthday card to share with you today using stamps from Chocolate Baroque


Step by Step

1. A5 oval shaped base card.
2. Matted and layered bronze pearlescent card which has been cut out with SB Grande scalloped oval die.
3. Cut out the oval in Kraft card and stamped the birthday sentiment from loving sentiments.
4. Decorated around the sentiment with stamps from Flora and Fauna stamp set.
5. To finish off I added 3 pearl gems.

Art

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

How are you all?

Did you have a good Christmas day?
We had a very quiet one with our Fur babies.

An abstract kind of card to share with you today using IndigoBlu stamps.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 cream square scalloped card base.
2. Matted and layered pink card.
3. Using pinks and reds Gelatos created the background, once dry I stamped the splatter butterfly with black Versafine and embossed.
4. I stamped the bubbles around the edges with red Versafine.
5. To finish off I added the word ART.

December 2017 Mini Mission - Frost

Good Evening Crafty Friends,

Well we are all done now ready for Santa to appear tomorrow.

I have a new journal page to share with you today. 
This is the last one for 2017 and I can't believe how quick this year has gone.

The word for this mini mission was ICE and here is my page.


I have used IndigBlu stormy sky and a touch of townhouse teal for the background. I then used snow white through the Tim Holtz shattered glass stencil.  The letters have been embossed with Imagination Crafts Embossing Powder.  Lastly I added chunky glitter to the bottom of the page and spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

Thanks for all that you do...

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I had a lovely day yesterday, both parents are well.

Rick and I had a fabulous evening last night when we went out for a meal at the Stag to see our friend play in his band, it put us both in the festive spirit.

I want to thank each and everyone of my followers and visitors for your support this year!
I am looking forward to seeing what 2018 bring.

Step by Step

1. DL white base card.
2. Matted and layered cream and gold patterned card wrapping cream ribbon around one edge.
3. To watercolour card I sprayed water and added Orange Generation INX, one dry cut down to create background.
4. Stamped the flowers and sentiment with Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder.
5. To finish off added the butterfly.

Celebrate

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

WOW not long now before Santa pays us a visit.

An early start this morning as off to see my parents to give them their presents.
Tonight we are off to see our friend and his band as well as having a meal.

A card using the beautiful Celebrate stamp set from Stamps by Me to share with you today.


Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 white base card.
2. Matted and layered red mirri and gold pearlescent card to base card.
3. Stamped the image and coloured with Luminarte H2o's on the dress and my pencils for her face and hair. I then added black glitter to the dress along the bottom, on the dress and around the neckline.
4. Stamped the word Celebrate and coloured with H2o's.
5. To finish off added red velvet ribbon along the bottom.

Steampunk Bird

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

How are you all?

Can you believe we are only 5 more sleeps until Christmas day!!!!
This month has flown by hasn't it, I am just thankful we have got everything now except for some last minute bits and pieces which I will pick up tomorrow as there is no way I am stepping outside shopping on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as it is going to be bedlam.

Anyway here is a quick and easy card with a steampunk theme using Steampunk birds stamp set from Chocolate Baroque.


Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 white base card.
2. Matted and layered navy blue card.
3. To create the background I gave it a colour wash using Distress Oxides in iced spruce and faded jeans.  I then used the texture stamp from Harlequin fragments using Archival cornflower stamp pad. Using the edge of the pad I made the straight lines.
4. Onto a separate piece of water colour card I stamped the bird twice and water coloured with my Zig pens. I then cut out the bird and on the second bird the cog wheel in the centre to decoupage up for dimension.
5. To finish off I stamped the sentiment with black Archival ink.

Dreams come True!

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

How are you all today?

Another busy day here off to Kath's for our last get together for this year!

A CAS card using IndigoBlu Wild Poppy Stamp and sentiment from Dreams Come True stamp set.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square base card.
2. Using the heart mask from my Love Heart stencil I distressed around heart with DI squeezed lemonade.
3. I stamped the poppy onto watercolour card and embossed. I then coloured using my Faber Castel pencils, cut out and placed on the card with foam pads.
4. To finish off I stamped the sentiment and hearts with Archival Ink.

Birthday Wishes

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Did you all have a wonderful weekend?

A friend came to visit on Saturday and had a nice lazy day.
Yesterday I video'd 2 projects and today we are off to see the new Star Wars film.

Today sharing a birthday card using the Birthday Wishes lamination stamp set from Stamps by Me.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square scalloped edge base card.
2. Matted and layered dark purple card.
3. To create the topper I stamped the flowers in 2 corners and the sentiment in the middle.
I then used my watercolour paints to colour the flowers.
4. To finish off I added purple gems around the white spaces.

Canvas Corp Brand Final Project

Good Evening Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing with you my final project as a crew member for Canvas Corp Brand.

It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of this very dynamic team.
I have made some wonderful friends and wish all the new crew members for 2018 and wonderful time!

So to finish off it had to be an American themed journal page.
I have used 7 Gypsies Mixed Media Vintage Travel paper pad and Wanderlust pad too.
Also my favourite Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

Earth Laughs in Flowers

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

A busy weekend ahead with visitors and out visiting too.

I hope you are all well and wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Today I am sharing a card using my favourite Rose Stem Script stamp from Chocolate Baroque.


Step by Step

1. A6 white base card.
2. The first layer I stamped the leaves from the Fantasy Woodland stamp set with Versafine and embossed with gold embossing powder.
3. I then stamped the rose onto white card with Archival ink, I used my Faber Castel pencils to watercolour the rose and leave.
4. Distressed around the edge of the topper with Distress Oxide faded jeans.
5. To finish off I stamped the sentiment and embossed with gold embossing powder then distressed around the edges with DO faded jeans.

Joy to the World

Good Morning Crafty Friends, 

A busy morning running some errands today and then going to chill out this afternoon with my new Tom Clancy book.

Sharing another Christmas card with you today.

We are all done here, presents wrapped and cards all sent.


Step by Step

1. 5 x 5 white square card base to create an easel card.
2. On the base card I have matted and layered gold pearlescent card and snowflake paper.
3. The front of the card I have done the same as the base and created the topper by stamping the trees, moon in black Versafine and using distress inks to create the background scene. 
4. I stamped the sentiment and embossed with gold embossing powder.
5. To finish off I wrapped gold organza ribbon around a piece of card and added a snowflake charm to the centre.

Far away but...

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I had a brilliant day yesterday catching up with Kath.

Today a couple of videos to do and edit along with some admin work.

Did you manage to watch Toni (Stamps by Me) yesterday on Create and Craft?

Today's project is made using Over the Hill stamp from the Picture Postcard range.


Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 white base card.
2. Matted and layered gold mirri card.
3. On white card I stamped the image using leaf green Archival Ink and stamped the sentiment.
4. I then added glitter to the trees and hills.
5. To finish off I decorated an envelope using part of the trees and coloured with Zig colour brush pens.

Thanks...

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Another crafty day planned as Kath is coming today.

Toni from Stamps by Me is on Create and Craft today at 9.00 am and 2.00 pm.
She will be sharing with you the fabulous Paper Piece dies as well as the Picture Postcard too.

My project today showcases one of the paper piece dies which happens to be my favourite along with the "Thanks" stamp set.


Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 white base card.
2. Matted and layered yellow card.
3. Die cut out the flower from white card and adhered music paper behind the flower and coloured parts of flower with Zig colour brush pens.
4. I then stamped the sentiment using black Archival ink, distressed around the edges with DI ground espresso.
5. To finish off I decorated an envelope and using the pieces of the flower coloured and adhered to the envelope.

Damita Elf on the Shelf

Good Morning Crafty Friends

Today I am sharing with you my last DT project for Digi Doodle Studios
I am staying on as a Guest Designer and posting once a month from February 2018.

It has been a fabulous 6 months but it is time for me to concentrate on my own designs for my website Linda Simpson Designs.

I would like to thank Dina and all the DT girls for a fabulous 6 months and to see how Digi Doodle Studios has grown and I am sure will grow even more in 2018.

Today's image is called Damita Elf on the Shelf, I have also used Hot Cocoa and Snow Days as well as Suddenly Winter digital papers. 


Step by Step

1. 8 x 8 black square base card.
2. Matted and layered green pearlescent card and paper from the Hot Cocoa digital papers.
3 Matted and layered gold pearlescent card and paper from Suddenly Winter digital papers, I then wrapped green polka dot ribbon around all layers before adhering to base card.
4. Printed Damita out and colours with Copic markers, added glitter to her hat and bobble also to the robins hat and bobble. Cut out with SB Curved Rectangle and matted and layered onto pearlescent green card. I added the sentiment too.
5. To finish off I made a double bow with gold organza ribbon, added a poinsettia to the centre of bow and corner pearl piece.
