Birthday Blog Candy

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Family and Visitors

Well I can say I have had the most wonderful birthday!

My hubby bought me a personalised number plate for my car!
As he says "what do you buy the woman who has everything?"

To celebrate my birthday today I have blog candy for one of my lovely followers!

Warmest Wedding Day Wishes

Have you tried the new CD from Kraftyhands called Romantique.

If like me you love vintage then this will be a must for your crafting arsenal.

Today's card is made using one of the card sets, I have gone for green this time.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square card which I have matted and layered paper from the LOTV Antebellum paper pack.
2. I printed off the card set from Kraftyhands Romantique CD
3. I cut all the pieces out and arranged on my card distressing around the edges with DI Bundle Sage before matting and layering onto the card.
4. To finish off I added the 4 pearl corners.

Sowing the Seeds of Love

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Whew what a busy day yesterday was and the same again today.

I hope your week started off good and enjoy your day!

A quick card today to share.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 cream card which I have matted and layered paper from Sowing the Seeds of Love paper pack from Kraftyhands.
2. I then matted and layered to postcard from the same series as above.
3. Made a bouquet using roses from Wild Orchid Craft Flowers and added metal leaves.
4. To finish off I distressed the butterfly sentiment with DI Victorian Velvet and added pearl gems to the body and 2 of the corners.

Male Birthday Card

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Today I have a male birthday card to share with you.

I know many people struggle to make men's cards so I am challenging myself to make one male card a week. I hope this gives you all some inspiration.

Monday sure has come around quick and a very busy day and week ahead.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 Kraft deckle edged card.
2. I matted and layered the number paper (which was part of an angel kiss).
3. I then cut down the paper with the image on from Kraftyhands Vintage Memories mini paper pack.
4. I the printed off the image from Kraftyhands Man about Town CD distressed with Stormy Sky.
5. To finish off I punched out the paper buttons and the sentiment.

A Special Little Someone

Oh my I had a good play yesterday with my new goodies and hoping to get some more crafting done today.

Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square card which I have matted and layered paper from LOTV Beach Bliss.
2. The next layer is from Kraftyhands Sowing the Seeds of Love paper pack.
3. I matted and layered the topper onto blue card.
4. I cut out the banner using Die'namites banner die with pearlescent card.
5. To finish off I added the sentiment and flowers with pearl gems for the centres.

Rose Fairy

YAY it's the weekend and hoping to spend the weekend crafting.

I sure have missed getting messy and will be playing with some of my new crafty goodies I got before I went on holiday.

Today a fairy card, I do love my fairies.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square card which I have matted and layered paper from the LOTV Country Lady paper pack.
2. The next layer is from Kraftyhands Sewing the Seeds of Love paper pack.
3. I distressed a doily with Victorian Velvet and distressed the topper with Vintage Photo before adhering to base card.
4. To finish off I added the pearl gems and the sentiment.

Elegant Lady

WOW thank you to everyone who wished me "happy birthday" I was blown away!
My hubby spoilt me too!

In his words "what do you get someone who has everything?" Well he bought me personalised number plate for my car! How exciting is that I am over the moon.

I got lots of lovely gifts and money from friends and family.

2. I matted and layered black card and a piece of First Edition Boho Chic paper.
3. The topper has been added with foam pads for dimension.
4. I added the pearl flourish from Creative Expressions.
5. To finish off I added the sentiment.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Well today is my birthday, don't you just love them.

Hubby has spoilt me rotten as always!

Since April my life has been on a roller coaster and been so exciting and still more exciting things to come too.

Today's card is a musical themed card which I think is appropriate as I am in such a happy mood.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square card 
2. I have attached musical tissue paper to black card with brads.
3. The toppers have been in my stash for years and I matted and layered them onto black card.
4. The musical embellishments is from Turkey.
5. To finish off I added the sentiment.

Ribbon and Pearls

How are you today? What are your plans for today? Any crafting?
I am hoping to get some colouring done tonight for a change.

A quick card to share today as I have a very busy day ahead.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 cream square card which I have matted and layered gold pearlescent card.
2. The next layer I wrapped cream satin and organza ribbon around.
3. The image is from Kraftyhands Romantique Topper collection I have matted and layered onto gold pearlescent card.
4. I made a double bow and added pearl heart gem to centre.
5. To finish off I added 3 flower pearl gems and a sentiment.

A Little Bird..

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are you all doing?

Feels like I have been back ages and only 2nd day at work!

Another canvas to share, love creating these!


Step by Step

1. 18 x 13 cm canvas which I have adhered embossed flourish card and then painted with Black Gesso.
2. I added the lace, birdcage, and metal and crocheted embellishments and gave another coat of black gesso.
3. Once this layer was dry I then added the birds and beads to the centre of the flowers and gave it another coat of black gesso.
4. Once this was dry I dry brushed white acrylic paint with the flat of the brush on the embossed base of the canvas.
5. To finish off I then used Pebeo Gold and Violet Blue iridescent paint using the dry brush technique.

IndigoBlu GDT

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Today I am sharing my GDT for September for IndigoBlu.

I won their challenge in July and was asked to be GDT for September.

The theme this month is Autumn .

I do love Autumn, nature gives us some spectacular colours!

Here is my quick step by step.


On white stamping card I stamped the leaf around the edge of the card with DI Spiced Marmalade and then embossed with clear embossing powder, I then distressed the rest of the card with Dried Marigold.  Onto vellum I stamped 3 of the leaves with Spiced Marmalade embossed then cut out.


I matted and layered gold pearlescent card onto the leaf card and then onto the base of my card.


Onto a sheet of the Flights of Fancy papers from IndigoBlu I stamped the sentiment and flourishes from the "Discover your Passion" stamp set with Versafine and Distress Ink then embossed with clear embossing powder. I then distressed around the edges with vintage photo.


I matted and layered this onto the gold pearlescent card,
Stamped out 3 dragonflies with Versafine onto vellum and embossed with clear embossing powder, I then cut them out and adhered to topper.
I then arranged the leaves to the bottom of the card.
To finish off I added pearl gems to the bodies of the dragonflies and the 4 corners.

Butterfly Magic

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

All being well we will be home and sleeping when this goes live.

I hope you are all well and enjoyed my blog posts whilst I have been away.

For this card I have used Image 663, which is by Sherri Baldy and can be found at her Esty store.



I joined 2 7 x 7 cream coloured card together and on the front of the left side cut diagonally across the top, and on the right side across the bottom then matted and layered yellow card and butterfly paper from my stash.

I printed this cutie onto Supersmooth card, cut out with SB Curved Rectangle die then coloured with Copics then distressed around the edges. I then matted and layered yellow and green polka dot card before adding the topper with foam pads for dimension. I adhered to the top half of the card and added a silver butterfly.

Using the same papers I matted and layered the inside of the card and a birthday sentiment.
On the bottom left had side I added a leaf and an assortment of flowers.

Eden with Ted

How are you all Today?

Travelling back home tonight so looking forward to catching up with you all.

Today I have an Elisabeth Bell stamp called Eden with Ted.


Step by Step

1. A6 cream card which I have matted and layered Kraft card.
2. I have matted and layered 4 different papers from the First Edition Boho Chic paper pack.
3. I stamped Eden onto supersmooth and paper pieced Eden's clothes and Ted. I coloured her hair and skin with Copics, cut down to an oblong distressed around her then matted and layered onto Kraft Card.
4. To finish off I added the sentiment and pearl corner.

3 Wise Men

Penultimate day of our holiday and travelling back tomorrow night.

A male card to share with you! 

The stamp was an angel kiss last year of Wendy Keenan.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 deckle edged Kraft card.
2. Card from Anne Marie designs and Paper from Tim Holtz Destinations paper pack where matted and layered at an angle and fob watch ribbon wrapped around both layers.
3. Stamped the image onto Kraft card with Versamark and embossed with PI gold embossing powder, cut down to size then distressed with Walnut Stain.  Matted and layered onto card with foam pads.
4. To finish off add the sentiment.

Let's Celebrate

Another scheduled post today as nearing the end of my holiday.

Today's card has been made using Graphic 45 Let's Celebrate.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 cream square card which I have matted and layered black card.
2. I then matted and layered 2 pieces of the birthday papers from the Let's Celebrate paper kit.
3. I added a sentiment strip across the join of the 2 papers.
4. Matted and layered the topper onto black card and adhered to base card with foam pads.
5. To finish off I added star gems and card candy.

2. White embossed card which has been distressed with DI Pumice Stone.
3. Topper is from Romantique post cards and matted and layered onto black card.
4. Metal corner and sentiment added.
5. To finish off metal leave, bling and roses where added.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

A Christmas card today.


Step by Step

1. Created a stepper card with red pearlescent card.
2. Matted and layered green paper from LOTV paper pad.
3. I matted and layered the topper onto green card.
4. Wrapped gold organza ribbon base of card and made a double bow with heart pearl gem to centre of bow.
5. To finish off I added the star which was gold embossed, sentiment and cream flowers.

Create Magic

A great fan of Finnibair and love her work, going to one of her workshops in February next year and really looking forward to it.

A tag today using her Create Magic stamps.


Step by Step

1. I first used a couple of Tim Holtz Stencils with Distress Ink randomly over the tag.
2. I then distressed over all the tag with DI Squeezed Lemonade.
3. I stamped the image from Finnibairs stamp set with Memento.
4. Stamped the heart and sentiments from the stamp set.
5. To finish off I added the scissors and tape measure ribbon.

Daffodil Fairy

A fairy card to share with you today as a rocker card.

The topper is from Hobby House


Step by Step

1. Using Spellbinder Grande Scalloped Circle I cut out pearlescent blue card, scored down the centre to create a rocker card
2. I then cut out a smaller scalloped circle pale blue glitter card.
3. I then cut out yellow pearlescent card using SB Stately Circles, and matted and layered the topper onto this, I used Spica pens to decorate the topper around the image.
4. I added the tulips and daffodils from Wild Orchid Crafts.
5. To finish off I added a double yellow bow, sentiment and pearl gems.

Sew it's your Birthday

As you know I do love anything haberdashery and this is for all you clever seamstresses out there.


Step by Step

1. A5 white pearlescent card which I have matted and layered pink pearlescent card.
2. The patterned paper is from Authentic and I have wrapped tape measure ribbon around before layering onto the pink card.
3. I matted and layered the topper onto pink card and adhered to base card.
4. I added a selection of buttons to one corner and a metal pair of scissors.
5. To finish off I added the sentiment and the ribbon faux bow which has thimble and needle on it.

Christmas Angel

Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 cream square card which has had the corners punched with Xcut punch.
2. First layer is gold mirri card which I have matted and layered dark green card.
3. The topper I have matted and layered onto gold card.
4. The candle I embossed with PI gold embossing powder.
5. To finish off I added the sentiment and red gems to the corners.

C is for Cat

As you all know I love my kitties and my good friend Deb bought me the Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs.

I have used the paper and chipboard pieces to create this card.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 cream square card.
2. Matted and layered brown card to base of card.
3. The second layer is from the Raining Cats and Dogs paper kit by Graphic 45.
4. Wrapped the paw print ribbon around both layers, added the topper with foam pads
5. To finish off I added the Chipboard banner and stamp.

Wedding Wishes

First day of our holiday and I hope you are all keeping well!

A Wedding card to share today.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square card.
2. Using Spellbinder Labels 47 die cut silver and pink pearlescent card.
3. Stamped the wedding horseshoe using clear embossing powder then embossing using Personal Impressions embossing powder, coloured the flowers with Spica pens and then cut out with SB Label 47.
4. Stamped the sentiment with Memento Ink
5. To finish off add 3 small roses, make a double bow with pink organza ribbon and twist the tails tucking one into the topper and add a small heart gem to the other.
