Paris Sunset

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are you all doing today!

I have my day planned, going to be very inky fingers using all my new Christmas goodies by Sheena Douglass, stamps and embossing folders. Then off out tonight to see my cousin!

Today's card is made using Sheena's Eiffel Tower Stencil.  I loved the texture the acrylic paint on the tower created.

I have managed to capture the mica in this photograph.

Can you see what I can see in this photograph?

Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 cream square card.
2. First layer is black card.
3. Using a piece of acetate I added Luminarte Radiant Rain Shimmer Mists in ginger peach, autumn leaf and persimmon, sprinkle glitter and added a sheet of tissue, put to one side and left to dry.
4. Once acetate was dry on the reverse side I stencilled the Eiffel tower stencil with brown acrylic paint on the tower and Silks acrylic glaze pretty peridot on the trees. I stamped the postage stamp with Stazon.
5. Once everything was dry I adhered the acetate to a sheet of gold pearlescent card with brads then matted and layered onto the black card.

A Gift for a Friend and Angel Kisses

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

YAY it's Friday!

What plans do you have for this weekend?
Out on Saturday night to my cousins for a meal and visiting granddaughters on Sunday

While I was in America I received 3 gorgeous Angel Kisses from Julie, Deb and Trish

This complete set is from Deb! WOW

I love these dies, thanks to Julie she sent them to Deb for when I arrived.

Trish sent me this gorgeous journal whilst I was at Deb's

Thank you all so much!

As you know I met 2 of my good friends in USA and I wanted to make something for Rebecca who we met in Madison.

I bought the letter "R" and decorated it for her!

Step by Step

1. I bought the letter from a shop in Fort Worth I think? It was rustic and just what I was looking for.
2. I first added Inca Gold around the edges as a highlight.
3. In the top left hand corner I added 3 white crocheted flowers I made and added pink rose buds to the centre.
3. To the bottom I added this beautiful floral dangle lace from Gone Artsy GA299 and roses to each corner.
4. To finish off I added the rose bouquet to the curve of the "R".

Leon Day

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

In collaboration with Patience Brewster I will be taking part in Leon Day!

To be perfectly honest I hadn't heard of Patience Brewster so after investigating this further I found their website.  I should mention at this stage that Patience Brewster is a very talented artist and her work is gorgeous! She has designed some fabulous Christmas Ornaments.

For my part it entailed me writing a blog post about Christmas!
Yes Christmas is exactly 6 months today!
As you all know if you are a regular visitor to my blog I like to start early with my Christmas cards but my plans for this year have gone awry with me starting my new position with Personal Impressions and then visiting my good friend Deb in the USA.

So what will I be doing on Leon Day?
First thing will be for me to make a list of family and friends whom I will be buying presents for and of course a list for the number of Christmas cards I still need to make.

Once I have finished work then I am going to make a start on making some Christmas cards.

How do you get in the mood to make your Christmas cards, gift and tags?
I usually put on a Christmas CD.
In the UK it is usually nice a warm but this summer the weather is cold so that is a help too!

As I have been lax in starting my creations I am sharing some of my Christmas projects from last year.

I do hope you have enjoyed reviewing them again.

Thank you for visiting today!

A Fabulous Holiday in Florida

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

First of all I want to thank each and everyone of you my beautiful crafty friends who visited my blog and left some fabulous comments on my scheduled posts.

You all make each and every day so special by your visits and comments.
THANK YOU!

Now you all know I went to meet my Facebook friend Deb in Florida for 2 weeks.
We have been friends for a while Skyping each other nearly every week so when she invited me to visit her of course I said yes!

That is one of the best decisions I have ever made. We got on like a house on fire!
We have spent the last 2 weeks laughing, crying and creating the most wonderful memories and I get to do it all again next year!

It was the most amazing holiday, just to spend each day doing what we wanted to do!
There were days spent at the beach, crafting, visiting Michael's (which was a bit disappointing to me) and Hobby Lobby (OMG I could have spent all day in this shop!), meeting up with another Facebook friend Rebecca and of course some sight seeing too.

A few pictures to share with you all.

Michael's a bit disappointed reminded me of Hobby Craft!

Oh my word what a shop, loved this place!

Rebecca, Deb and I we met up in Madison (Rebecca's husband Sam joined us too) and enjoyed a meal together then a look around the quaint shops there! On our way home we stopped at Hobby Lobby in Tallahassee! I could have stayed here all day!

We visited a place called Seaside! I just adore this gate it is fabulous!

Wooden church in Seaside!

This was taken on the boat trip and is of the bay, I even managed to see some dolphins too!

I have more photographs but these are enough I think!
I shopped 'til I dropped and sent 3 boxes of goodies home!

I hope you have enjoyed your visit!

Easel Box Card

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I hope you are all keeping well!

Today I am flying back home after spending 2 glorious weeks in Florida with my lovely friend Deb.

I have had the most wonderful of time and spoilt rotten!

Looking forward now to catching up with my hubby who I have missed as well as my 2 fur babies.

Another easel box card to share today!

Step by Step

1. Using pearlescent card I cut out 4 4" squares, 2 Stripes 21/8 x7 3/8, and 2 pieces of card measuring 43/4 x 43/4.
2. I created an easel card measuring 91/2 x 43/4 and scored at 23/8 and 43/4
3. I made the boxes and their sleeves so it looked like a match box and decorated with paper from the Crafter's Companion Times Gone by CD. I then adhered the boxes so on each side there is a little drawer to one of the larger squares, I then attached the other card to the top.
4. I attached the easel card and decorated the card with papers. To act as the stopper I used seam binding and a gem ribbon buckle from Gone Artsy.
5. To finish off I added a lace butterfly distressed with Shaded lilac DI and bling and pearl trim for the box handles.

Many thanks to everyone who has visited my blog and left comments whilst I have been away.
