My Craft Journal

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

A wet and miserable day here in Warrington!  I hope you have all managed to stay dry if you have had to go out in the rain.  Another productive day in my craft room.  The first photograph I am showing you is what I made using the Faux Leather technique that Sheena Douglass showed on Create and Craft on Monday with Kraft Card.

These were made using embossing folders we had the one on the left has been distressed with Wild Honey and Scattered Straw.  The one on the right I have used Forest Moss and Peeled Paint

My embossing folders arrived yesterday so this is what I have made today.  I have made my own craft journal.  I have used the Ivy Leaf embossing folder and distressed with Dusty Concord, I made a flap and used a fastening like a belt.  I have used Tim Holtz alphabet on the front and metal corners for the front and back.

For the inside of the journal I have attached purple card and made two pockets, I tried the same technique onto watercolour card and quite pleased with the effect I then used the A4 flower folder and then distressed the pockets with Dusty Concord.  I have added the pages with needle and thread and voila my very own journal.

Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden?

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

A really good productive day spent crafting today, made quite a few cards and a tag for a challenge on Facebook Mad Crafter's Giggle Group.  I even got VERY mucky paws, good job I have one of those scrubby things that helps remove the ink. Don't forget I have blog candy to celebrate 3 years blogging!  Just follow the link!

Now my regular followers know that I love fairies and decided to make this card to enter into a few challenges, I hasten to add too that no ink whatsoever touched this card. Just lots of dies, topper and flowers oh yes and a fairy from Hobby House.

Recipe

1. Scalloped circle card scored on the front and made into an easel card.
2. The base of the card I have cut out Silver mirri card with Spellbinder Grande Circle die, the blue card has been cut out using Spellbinder Grande Decorative Circle die, before layering onto the base of the card I have wrapped white organza ribbon around and made a bow which acts as the stopper for the easel.
3. I followed the same steps for the mirri and blue card for the base the cut out white pearlesent card using Spellbinder Circle die, the using blue paper cut out the decorative circle.
4. I used PanPastels around the fairy and used glitter on her wings, I also added Blue Copic's to make her dress and shoes a richer blue.
5. To finish off I added a lace butterfly and roses from Sweet Lilac.

Melt Pot Playtime

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

As you all know I went to my friend Kath's on Wednesday and we were putting our Melt Pot to good use. Tonight I would like to share with you all what I made.  It was a fun day and reminded me how much I love using this.

This first picture shows how I used the melt pot with my Spellbinder D-Lites Dies, the vase and the padlock, the frame is a Martha Stewart mold.  I have done a you tube about using the melt pot and spellbinder dies if you want to watch click here to the link.

These flowers and butterflies are Martha Stewart Molds, I have added seed beads to the centres of the larger flowers.

To finish off I dipped some of the flowers I had made into the melt pot, not quite happy with these but wanted to show you.  I then made 5 stick pins to use in my cards and then threaded beads onto florist wire as I have a few ideas on how I want to use these.

Thank you for visiting and if you have any questions please leave a comment and I will answer as soon as I can.
