Floral Birthday Wishes

Good Morning Crafty Friends and Followers

Another successful day in my craft room yesterday.  While I was putting away my Christmas crafting bits and pieces I found a couple of toppers I made about 2 months ago at one of my stamping classes.  So I made them into cards.  These will be posted on my blog towards the end of the week.

My hubby and I are off out shortly to meet Rick's brother and his partner at Alderley Edge.  No idea how long we will be out but looking forward to catching up with Pete and Gina.

8 x 8 gold pearlescent base card.
First layer is Core'dinations card stock
The second layer is also Core'dinations which has been embossed using Die'sire embossilitious floral 6 x 6 folder.  I have then spritzed Cosmic Shimmer Mist in gold.  Once this has dried I matted this onto the darker green card and wrapped cream lace round and then matted onto the base card.
The leaf stem is from my stash which has been distressed with PanPastels.  I have added some peachy cream roses to the stem.  The wooden butterfly has been embossed with clear embossing powder, whilst it was molten I sprinkled Fran-tage olde gold and Cosmic Shimmer Mica powder in gold,  The dragonfly have been embossed with WOW embossing powder green sparkle.
The sentiment is from my stash.

Free Your Imagination

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends and Followers

Well I have got all the housework done and the house is back to normal.  All decorations are down and back up in the loft.  The washing done, ironing to do later, will get hubby to do that.  He is a happy bunny as he is able to get in his garden today as it is dry at the moment.  He is giving it a tidy up as lots of plants have died now and he loves his garden and it has been annoying him not able to get out.

Well me, as you all know I can be found in my crafty piece of heaven.  One happy bunny as I got a lot of crafting done for me yesterday,  I have a few DT cards to do today and then that is my January DT work all done.

My card today is one of my favourtite stamp sets from Visible Image.  I hope you enjoy your visit today.

8 x 8 scalloped cream card which I have used the feathers to stamp the background using Big & Juicy ink pad in Foilage.
The first layer is brown Core'dinations card which I have distressed the edges with scissors
The second layer is mocha paper from my stash.
The topper is from Core'dinations Tim Holtz collection which I have embossed using 6 x 6 Regal Frame from Die'sire.  I have distressed the top layer back to highlight the embossed corners.
Using Perfect Medium I have embossed the birds and used WOW embossing powder called Bark regular.  The sentiment has been embossed using WOW Gold Sparkle regular.
At the base of the topper I have randomly stamped with Perfect Medium and sprinkled Fran-tage aged gold whilst this was still hot and bubbling I sprinkled some of the shabby white.
To finish off I have added pearl gems to the top corners of the swirls added a couple of feathers a double bow and a dazzler from Creative Expressions.

Little Kitty

Good Morning Crafty Friends and Followers

Well it is a dull and dismal day here in Warrington.  I was going to do the housework today but decided to have a crafting day instead.  Got a few cards made yesterday for January's DT commitments and made a card for my blog today too.

Getting to grips with my new computer but with it being Windows 8 there are a lot of things that I have on my laptop that aren't compatible with Windows 8.  I love using Paint.Net and I have tried to download it on my new computer but it is not having it.  Even my TV Dongle isn't compatible for my computer so going to have to go and buy a new one once I find one that is compatible again for Windows 8.  Anyway if anyone has any information on how to download Paint.Net on to my computer I would be ever so grateful.

Card base is 6 x 6 which I have distressed the card with PanPastels Permanent Red Tint.
The first layer has bunting which is glittered and pale pink I have distressed the edges with PanPastel Bright Yellow Green Tint.
The Topper is from LOTV and I have added more colour to it using my Copic's and Spica Pens.
To finish off I have added 2 triangle buttons, gems and sentiment.

Another Christmas Card

Good Morning Crafty Friends and Followers

I hope you are all well and have had a great couple of days.  Today hubby is back in work so I get to play in my craft room.  I have some design team work that I want to get done for January challenges so I plan to get ahead of my DT work as much as possible this weekend.

For today I am showing you another Christmas card, well it would be rude not too as there are still quite a few challenges going on for Christmas cards!  Again it is Mulberry Wood but this time I have used the cute penguins.  I hope you enjoy the rest of the day!

The card base is 6 x 6 which I have matted some green snowflake card.  I matted the topper onto green mirri card and placed this onto the base of the card.  I have added glitter to the topper as snowflakes and it actually shows!  To finish off I added a sentiment from my stash and punched out snowflakes with the scraps left over from the mirri card.

Cogs and Lace

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends and Followers

A quick post from me this morning!  I got my new computer yesterday so in the process of transferring files etc from lappy to PC.  This new computer is going to take some getting used to as it is the new Windows 8!  Anyway less about me, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, I was totally spoilt as usual.

Today's card is all about Steampunk, now you all know I love steampunk and I have got a few items which are ideal for altered art so I am hoping to give these the steampunk make over.

6 x 6 black base I have matted silver mirri textured card on the base.
The second layer is from Kraftyhands Steampunk Emporium CD which has been printed onto pearlescent card.  I have wrapped lace around this before attaching it to the base of the card.
I have printed off the topper and edged this in purple using my Copic's pen.
The cogs are from Crafty-Emblies these are a UK family based company and are a great source for getting just about any wooden embellishment you want!
I have embossed the cogs and then used Fran-tage which gives them a fabulous texture.

Happy Boxing Day

Good Morning Crafty Friends and Followers

I hope Santa was good to you all and you got some lovely presents.  Santa was exceedingly good to me, I got some crafty pressies, money, Baileys, Chocolates, CD's, DVDs, smellies, clothes, 2 Radley purses and a Radley Handbag.  I do so love my Radley bags and this will be my 8th handbag and I now have 4 purses!

Off out to the sales this morning to get myself a new computer as my poor laptop is on its way out and has been giving me lots of problems.

Yesterday while watching the TV which I must admit wasn't all that good I made myself a Shambala bracelet and another bracelet with green beads.  This is my first try as jewellery and I am very happy with them.  I still prefer my stamping and card making though, one must try new crafts every now and again and I have a few ideas I want to try with my beads etc.

I hope you all have a wonderful day

Exciting News

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends and Followers

Today I am sharing some exciting news with you all.  In November Holly the owner of Squigglefly challenge blog contacted me to ask if I would be interested in joining their design team.  Of course my answer was YES!!!!

Today I am showcasing one of my first Squigglefly images which you can purchase here.  She is called Carousel Ride by Alicia Blake.

We have 2 teams and I am on Rhonda's Team and my first DT entry will be on Monday 7th January 2013.  I hope to see a few of my crafting and blogging friends taking part.

Base card is 8 x 8 scalloped which I have matted silver mirri card onto.
The second layer matted a card from my crafty stash which is pale blues, lemon and glitter.
I have then taken a heart shape and distressed it with PanPastel Dairylade Yellow.
I have printed off the Carousel Ride onto Stampography card and cut out using Spellbinder Scalloped Oval die.
I have coloured the image with Copic Ciao Pens and Spica Glitter pens. I have distressed the edges with PanPastel Phthalo Blue.  I have added a lemon bow to the top of the Carousel pole.
To finish off I have added an Organza blue bow and added flowers.  The stick pin was a present from my good blogging friend Lindsay Jolly.

Christmas Robin

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends and Followers

I have had a busy morning today, I went to see my Dad who is doing well and we exchange Christmas presents.  I then went to M & S and then to the post office before my friend came.  We had a lovely couple of hours together catching up and exchanging our Christmas presents too.

Now it is time for me to get some crafting done but first I want to show you another Christmas card I have made using Mulberry Wood.  I love robins, every year we have a couple of robins that sit on the fence opposite the conservatory and look in, they have done this every year for about 10 years now, they are so cute.

The base of the card is 6 x 6 which I have matted some plaid card from the Mulberry Wood kit.  I matted and layered the topper onto green Mirri card.  I have added glitter to the topper but you can't really see on the photo.
To finish off I have added holly from my stash and a sentiment.

Happy Birthday Steampunk Style

Good Evening Crafty Friends and Followers

Whew what a journey home today.  Coming over the Penine's wasn't nice at all it was foggy and raining too.  Stuck in traffic from junction 18 to 12 which is where I come off onto the M62, junction 11 was closed so traffic was slow to junction 9.  Boy was I happy to get off the motorway today.  Drove straight to Asda to do my Christmas food shopping.  All done now so apart from going to see my Dad tomorrow and then the boys on Sunday I have no other plans to do any driving until the New Year when I return to Leeds.

I hope you are all ready for Christmas now!  I am except for wrapping hubby's Christmas presents.  Lots of time planned for getting some crafting done too.  Crafting for me for a change will be great.  I want to try different techniques and get out my stamps and inks etc.

Today's card is from Kraftyhands Steampunk Emporium CD which you can purchase here.

Card base has been printed off which is a rocker card.
I have matted and layer the topper and embossed the topper with Clear Embossing powder.
The cogs are wooden and from Crafty-Emblies which I have used Fran-tage to give them a metallic look.
