Steampunk Sally

Good Afternoon to all my crafty friends and followers,

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Housework is done and so is washing hung out early this morning and now dry so get that ironed later today.

Today's card is steampunk!  I haven't done any steampunk for a while and one of my blogging friends has showcased 1 steampunk card on her blog so I just had to get my stamps out and do some cards.  Zoe did another one and they were gorgeous.  I hope you can visit her blog and see her fab cards.

Today I am showcasing a topper from Kraftyhands Steampunk Die cuts.  When Mike and Ian told me they had done these I nearly snatched their hands off LOL!  I have called the Topper I used Steampunk Sally, she sure looks like the epitome of a steampunk aviator in the land of steampunk!

Recipe & Method

1.  Card base is from Kanban which I have stamped using a fern with cogs from Hot of the Press (this was a freebie) on in Tim Holtz Distress Ink Wild Honey.
2.  The next layer I have used Stamps from Personal Impresssion which is the frame stamped in Dew Drops Brilliance Cosmic Copper.  The word "steampunk are also stamps from Personal Impressions and have been stamped using Dew Drop VersaMagic Spanish Olive.  The word Celebrate in the centre of the frame is from Hot off the Press and stamped using Dew Drops VersaMagic Gingerbread.  I have then inked the edge layer using VersaMagic Gingerbread.  To finish off the layer I then used a stimpling brush and Distress Ink Forest Moss.
3.  To complete my card I then added Steampunk Sally and a couple of clock hand charms.

Good morning to all my crafty friends and followers.

I hope you are all well and have a fabulous Friday.  I can't believe that the weeks are going so quickly!  I have been really busy this week with getting DT projects done and items ready for my craft fayre next month.

Today's card I have made for the challenge over at Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog.  The theme this time is Cirque de la Ragamuffin and I have used one of Sherri Baldy's digi's called Nellie High Wire lil Ragamuffin which you can purchase here.

Recipe & Method

1.  8 x 8 pearlescent square card.
2.  Silver Mirri card layered onto the base of the card, before layering this down I have added multicoloured ribbon across the lower part of the mirri and the pom pom along the top.
3.  Using Spellbinder Labels 23 I cut out the striped paper which was a freebie from a magazine and layered this down.
4.  I printed off the image and cut out using the above mentioned Spellbinder.  I coloured the image in using my Copics and Sakura glitter pens for the spots on her dress and ribbon.
5.  To complete the card I have added 2 stars and a button ticket to the ribbon.

Summer Time

Good Morning my crafty friends and followers

I would like to start by saying welcome to my new followers and friends and thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my blog.

Today's post is a card I made to hopefully cheer you all up after this dreadful summer we are having.  I really enjoyed making this card as it made me smile and remind me that I will see some sun in 3 months time when I go on holiday to Turkey where you can be guaranteed to see the sun!!!!

Here is my card for you today :)

Recipe & Method

1.  Card base is scalloped A5 card from Kanban.
2.  The first layer is from Bo Bunny Country Garden which I have cut out using Spellbinder Scalloped Rectangle die.  I cut this out of the die so I have a straight top edge to match the base card.
3.  I stamped Sunkissed by Elisabeth Bell and coloured with Copics.  I have dusted PanPastel Hansa Yellow Shade around the scalloped oval.
4.  The tag has been dusted with the same colour Panpastel and I have stamped Just for You sentiment in versamagic and embossing powder in gold.
5.  The flowers are from my stash which I have attached using Pinflair glue gel.  The white ones have been tinted with Hansa Yellow Shade and gems were added to all the flowers.  The leaves were punched from Martha Stewart punch.
6.  To finish off I stamped 3 butterflies onto a scrap of Bo Bunny Country Garden paper heat embossed with gold embossing powder and arranged onto my card.

Paint Fusion Candles

Good Afternoon my crafty friends and followers

I have been busy starting to get this made for myself for a change.  I still have DT work to do but took a break today and did some paint fusioning.  I haven't done this for a while and I really enjoyed getting messy.  Tonight I will be starting to get the 3 lots of design team projects started and will continue with this until the end of the week and weekend.  Oh well, they always say there is no rest of the wicked LOL ;)

I am showing you a few of the candles that I have painted and I hope you like them as much as I do.  I am doing a craft fayre next month so need to get some more other items painted.  I will starting to do that next week when I will be on countdown.  I already have quite a bit already done so not too much more to do.

Anyway less chatter from me and here are my candles.

The candles have been stamped using a variety of Sheena Douglass' paint fusion stamps.
Using Pebeo acrylic paints I have painted the Ivy, Sweet Peas and the Berries.
I didn't realise until I photographed that I had used my favourite colour which is purple.

Altered Box

Good Afternoon All

WOW I am on a roll today, this is my 3rd project completed but I can't show 2 of them too you yet. I have had an idea for a while and finally had the time this afternoon to play.  I hope you like what I have come up with.

When clearing out the attic at the weekend and found this cute little box which was in one of my crafting boxes.  I brought it down and today I have altered it into something else.

This is the box before I started working on it.

This is the inside and the top of the box

This is the whole box which I am going to add sewing implements too.

Recipe & Method

1.  The bottom of the box was given a coat of PVA and then painted over with magnolia paint.  Using my heat gun I assisted the drying time thus getting the nice crackled look.  I then used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Old Paper and stippled the painted layer.
3.  Using some green satin I used my large Spellbinder Circle die and cut out the satin and attaching double sided tape I pleated the satin around.
4.  For the lid I added double sided tape to the lace and layered it around the lid.
5.  Using Spellbinder circle die I cut out another piece of satin and 2 pieces of felt.  I covered the felt with the satin and layered this onto the top of the lid.
6.  I threaded some gold thread throught the wooden buttons and attached them to the lid.  To finish off I added pearl gems around the edge of the lid.

Anyway less chatter from me here is my card!

Recipe & Method

2.  The topper is from a calender I had a few years ago which I have glittered and placed directly onto the card.
I haven't added any embellishments as the card base is quite detailed and it makes the topper really stand out.

Another Kenny K Fashionista

Good Morning All

Just a quick post before I go off to Doncaster this morning!  I hope you all have a fantastic Sunday and if you do go to the Dome at Doncaster please pop by and say hello.  I will be working on Anna Marie Designs.

Today is the last of my Kenny K digi's that I have coloured in so far and I hope you like this as much as I do.  The fourth digi I chose was a Christmas one so will be doing that later on in the year!

Recipe and Method

1.  Base card is black card scored to make an A5 card.  This card has a embossed flowers on it.
2.  Using Spellbinder Labels 23 I cut out red glitter card and placed to the top of the card.
3.  From my stash I added self-adhesive flower ribbon down the side and added tiny gems to the centres of the flowers in red.
4.  I printed off the image onto Rymans card and cut out using labels 23.  I coloured the image using my Copic pens.  I have highlighted her top with Sakura glitter pen and her earrings and shoes using Sakura Gel pens.  I have added 4 pearl gems to each of the corners.
5. To finish off the card I have used a red handbag charm, card candy and an old dangly earring which I found in a charity shop.
