6th Blog Anniversary Candy

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

On the 24th February 2011 I tentatively started my blog!

What an amazing adventure I have had so far, I have made lots of lovely friends from all around the world and even been very lucky to visit one of my friends over in America.

I feel so blessed to have made such wonderful friends who are so very talented and inspired me to continue creating and sharing with you all.

During that time I have worked for some amazing companies and this year started designing my own papers and ephemera and selling them on my Etsy shop.  Thank you for purchasing and I hope you get as much enjoyment in using them as I do.

You will never know how much over the past 6 years you have all helped me over difficult personal times and for that I can't thank you enough.

To celebrate 6 years I have blog candy for 6 lucky winners.
The winners will be chosen by Random Org on Friday 24th February
Good Luck!

I hope my friends in the UK have survived yesterday's terrible weather.

2. Matted and layered blue pearlescent card onto base card.
3. Stamped image, frame and card onto white stamping card and coloured with Copic Markers.

Parchment Clock

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are you all this Wednesday morning, hump day and not long until the weekend.

Today I am sharing with you a parchment clock I started whilst at a workshop run by Maria Simms.
I can show you today as the recipient has received this gift.

Step by Step

1. Using the MDF clock base we drew a circle around onto parchment.
2. I painted the back of the clock in teal acrylic paint.
3. Using an assortment of Clarity Groovi plates designed the clock face.
4. I used Derwent watercolour pencils to colour the back of the parchment and white work on the flowers in the centre.
5. Around the edge of the circle added a decorate edge and cut out using my scissors.
6. Once the hands were added I then finished off by attaching pearl gems around the outside.

I love anything to do with haberdashery even though I am only just learning how to sew.
I can cross stitch, embroider, knit and crochet, what can you do?

Anything to do with haberdashery in crafting, i.e. stamps, papers, toppers etc I just have to buy. I have 8 jars full of buttons and even inherited my mother in laws button tin :)

Today my card is made using a topper from Hobby House.

2. Matted and layered patterned paper from the 12 x 12 Authentic paper pad, distressed around the first layer with DI ground espresso and the second layer with Victorian Velvet.
3. Matted and layered the topper which I have distressed the edges with DI ground espresso onto another piece of patterned paper.
